Daniel receives care from the project in
Daniel was able to receive care from ASODECIGUA to combat both his bronchitis and parasites. He was also given medicine, overnight care, and regular meals. He has since gained weight and fully recovered. Help us to continue helping the innocent victims of poverty -- it's easy to make a tax-deductible donation. Miguel is a ten-year old who is one of fifteen children receiving services from the Ministry of Truth and Light (Ministerio Luz y Verdad). He lives with his family in a metal shack shared by ten other families. The shack has dirt floors, no running water, and very little electricity. Each family has one room within the shack. Miguel lives with his grandmother, mother, brothers, and sisters in a tiny room. When he began receiving services from the ministry, he was described as physically and verbally aggressive. He has since stopped his aggressive outbursts and swearing. Miguel has never attended school because of the extreme poverty his family lives in. The ministry has worked with him to make sure his math and reading skills are at grade level. A USLA volunteer recently donated $160 to pay Miguel’s education expenses. This will cover the cost of his registration fees, uniforms, and school supplies. It also enabled the ministry to pay for new shoes and a haircut for him. Miguel will begin school in January, when the new academic year begins. Education is a gift often taken for granted. Donate now to provide a gift that keeps on giving. |
